Biography of Buxom Prime.

Buxom Prime was found in spring 1996 and originally consisted of drummer John Admiraal and two guitarists, Patrick Hagedoorn and Erik Bruggeman. Shortly after that, another guitar player was added, called Herman Verhoef and Patrick decided to start playing bass. With guitar player Erik as a singer a band was born.

Almost instantly all kind of ideas were gathered, while playing a few covers in order to get to know each other musically, and the band started working on their own songs.
Although the musical tastes and influences were quite diverse within the members of the band, it was soon clear that the style of the new band would grow into some heavy guitar driven rock music, with both fast and heavy parts as well as softer and tender songs.

In March 1999 Buxom Prime recorded their first demo album, titled: ”Maiden Voyage”. This cd contains four songs and an intro piece, which stands for the type of music the band plays, varying from soft and melodic to metal, between straight and reasoned, and lyrics inspired by all day life reality or fantasy.
Shortly after release of this demo album, the first gigs were done, but still limited in their amount.

During summer 2002 a band change occurred. Singer/ guitarist Erik left the band and soon after that the band went searching for replacement.
Fall 2002 brought a new voice, this time a lady singer with some band experience as bass player, but the band including the new singer wanted only a vocalist, not combined with any other instrument, so that the singer could concentrate on the vocals.
At some points the existing songs were altered to fit better with the new voice currently the band consists of:
